Luke Rules

A very fast read. Outstanding plot and well developed characters. Easily read in two or three days. Simply could not put it down. If you enjoy twists and surprises this is a must-read. Highly recommend.

The Title Tells The Tale

Luke indeed does rule in this tightly crafted story. The suspense is real, the mysteries compelling and the characters realistically drawn but it is the occasional tongue-in-cheek throwaway that creates a relationship between authors and reader that I particularly enjoyed. "You know what we are saying here, we know you do." - "Watch this..." - "As if, huh?" - "Can you believe this guy?" All implied, of course, but this grants a double experience: the story itself and the authors' acknowledgement that this is a joint venture: We're on this roller coaster together and ("Whoa!! That was unexpected!!!) our guy Luke runs and rocks the ride. If you are intrigued enough to read this review - you need to read the book...

Interesting Protagonist

Luke Rules is a fun ride. The plot was good, although a bit predictable in the 1st half. It picked up with more twists and turns in the second half which kept me wanting more. I like Luke, especially his "un-PCness". The clipped style of the writing and some of the terminology were hard to take at times, thus the 4 star rating. I will definitely look forward to the next escapade however, I like Luke's rules!
